The Developer is a consortium of local businessmen partnered with the Royal Bank of Scotland and Thornton-Firkin acted as their lead construction consultant from the purchase of the existing building through to occupation.
The scheme involved the complete removal of the external pre-cast concrete panels back to the concrete frame and erecting new modern cladding with balconies, transforming the elevations. Two new floors were added to the eight-storey building to provide 16 three bedroom penthouse apartments.
The scheme benefits from modern environmental initiatives including green roof techniques and the development also included the refurbishment of the adjoining multi-storey car park to provide private parking for the residents.
The development revitalised the City's waterfront and played a major role in the regeneration of the land around the Brayford pool.
