Fit out of approximately 11,500 sq.ft. of office space for financial services tenant in the central business district of Birmingham to provide a modern working environment for approximately 100 staff including meeting suite, reception, staff breakout with a substantially open plan office environment

Thornton-Firkin provided Project Management, Employer’s Agent, Cost Consultancy and CDM Co-ordinator services to the end user in a multi tenanted office building. The main fit out contract was design and build tendered competitively to selected fit out contractors from which one was selected to develop their tendered design and then fit out the space. All tender documentation and the tender process was produced and managed by Thornton-Firkin. As part of our service we ensured the integration of all other direct contracts including data infrastructure, furniture, AV and security as well as liaison with the building landlord’s building management and consultant team to ensure a successful project that was delivered to the required quality and programme and within budget. The fit out was completed over a 6 week contract period following 2 weeks of data infrastructure enabling works.
