The Works involve the conservation and repair of the existing stone walls, installation of new bronze windows, construction of new accessible roof, three internal floors and internal fitting-out to form a visitor welcome area, open plan spaces for historical interpretation, flexible use rooms, a cafe and public facilities.
There is additional visitor parking and improvements to accessible paths.
