The new homes and workspaces are intended to share a similar warehouse brick architecture, creating a collection of unique buildings that sit within a common aesthetic. New residents will be able to view the furniture makers, sculptors and other creative professionals working within the courtyard below whilst also being able to access a series of architecturally designed rooftop gardens.
There were a number of challenges to overcome to ensure that the development remained financially viable including the proximity of a Thames Water sewer that transverses the site, flood risk levels, noise attenuation due to the proximity of a busy dual carriageway and the curved geometry of the site. These challenges were all overcome through a comprehensive site appraisal and the development of a multiple facet design approach.
As part of the overall regeneration of the area we have been appointed as Employers Agent and Cost Consultant on all four developments with a combined value of £60m.
