The site is located adjacent to the M1 and is well placed for southern edition national newspaper distribution. Two buildings totalling 150,000 sq ft have been converted into the new state of art facility. The building includes a press hall accommodating two lines of four double width KBA Commander CT presses totalling 22 towers plus 4 folders, mail room, reel store and office accommodation.
The programme was extremely challenging, the building only being purchased at the end of October and the building works commencing on the 6th December. This left 51 weeks to the first production date. Thornton-Firkin were Project and Cost Managers and together with the rest of the project team the project was delivered on time.
